Sarahlinna Guerrero started playing flute in 6th grade. She began taking private lessons in 8th grade and went on to make the Texas All-State band in 2011 and 2012. After graduation she joined the United States Marine Corps where she served as a Piccolo and Flute instrumentalist. She was also the Flute section leader, Woodwind Quintet Ensemble leader, and performed in the Handbell Choir. 

 

She has performed in over 300 performances with the Marine Corps and had substantial performances such as the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, performances at Ground Zero in New York, The Virginia International Tattoo, The Cleveland International Tattoo, and The Netherlands international Tattoo.

 

After leaving the Marine Corps she went on to work on her bachelor degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance where she has served in ensembles such as, the Texas Tech Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Bravura, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Woodwind Quintet, Flute Choir and Mariachi Los Matadores.

 

She has taught in the Lubbock area over the last 4 years, and has helped two students with the accomplishment of making the Texas All- State band. She graduated from Texas Tech in December of 2020, and plans to become a public school teacher.
